I am quoted in today’s Telegraph by Melissa Lawford regarding the unique circumstances driving the current surge in the country property market. The trend is counter-intuitive given what is on the horizon. Covid-19 will inevitably lead to a downturn in activity and values but, in the short term, the highly competitive race to escape lock-down London is pushing both values and transactions.
