13 Sep Americans Are Buying Up Scotland’s Most Expensive Housing
I am quoted in Sarah Rappaport’s article on Bloomberg.com commenting on the influx of American buyers who have been taking advantage of the beneficial shift in exchange rates in order to acquire their UK dream home. For many this is a London house or a country pad with the Cotswolds proving to be hugely popular with US buyers. Many also dream of owning a castle and a Scottish Sporting Estate often ticks all the boxes.
With land in Scotland increasing in value due to the demand for regenerative nature projects and strategic carbon purchases this may not feel like the cheaper option for much longer.
